Acep Rudianto, Supervisor, Jakarta, Indonesia
Telecommunication in developing countries such as Indonesia has become one of the most important requirements. One of the first basic infrastructures needed after roads in development countries is telecommunication; without telecommunications development will not take place. In developing countries we have skipped the step of land based telephones, and jumped right to the mobile technology. Day by day, costumers of telecommunication services especially cellular are increasing significantly, and it means the development and need for Towers is also growing considerably every day.
PT Ramboll Telecom Indonesia is one of the tower suppliers in Indonesia and we have great opportunities in Indonesia, a country with ~250 million people, and a high population density.
Working as a supervisor of tower Production in a subcontractor factory, I handle the material’s selection making certain the quality is as specified, assembling the parts so we get the right tower, and check the galvanizing quality to insure that the final product can be accepted by costumers and live up to the Ramboll quality.
As the Ramboll design is new in this part of the world, I also undertake training or supervision regarding the installation of Rambøll towers directly on site, again to provide the customer with a high quality design.
